Two language enthusiasts who met in Berlin, Germany in 2020. Having met through their passion of learning languages, they began by teaching languages individually to students under the name of 'Español en Berlín' as well as creating Meetup conversation groups, all before opening up their own online language platform.
Who are we?
👉 Jamie:
A certified ESL (English as a second language) teacher from the United Kingdom with over ten years of experience. Having lived in the UK, Spain and now Germany, Jamie's teaching experiences range from ESL, to Business English classes, as well as examination preparation and teaching English as an academic subject. As well as privately, he's taught in both private and public schools, companies, universities and through several online platforms. When visiting the UK, he also tutors in Spanish while currently finishing his Master's in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. He is also conversational in German.
👉 Ricardo:
Ricardo was born in Argentina and has worked as a certified ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) instructor. Ricardo has also learned other foreign languages from a young age, such as Italian, Portuguese, French, and English. Ricardo moved to Berlin, Germany, in 2018 in search of more job opportunities, where he obtained the TELC C1 German exam. Ricardo has also taken advanced courses, obtaining certifications in Portuguese (CELPEBRAS) and French (DELF-DALF and ILA Institute in Montpellier).
